The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini
Well, my heart didn't soar. I was disgusted with the main character and didn't feel an inch of sympathy for him. All secondary characters were done very very well, no complaints. The delivery, however, didn't impress me and the story was embarrassingly predictable. The main character's struggles didn't hold a candle to his loved one's, so there wasn't a great balance. Too bad it wasn't all that it could have been for me.
